Everyone Deserves Some Pampering

Everyone deserves to be pampered now and then. I don't know about you, but one of the ways that I always liked to be pampered is by getting my hair done. As my wallet goes longer and longer without additional funds being added... my hair goes longer and longer without a trim or coloring. Massages? I sucker... I mean... ask my friends nicely to give me one. My nails?! Ugh, don't ask... Well, I may not have to suffer anymore. A friend of mine, knowing I'm always looking for the best deals, sent me a link today that might be beneficial for you. I cannot vouch for the quality of OMI Salon and Spa, but it has a 4 star average rating on Yelp.com.

If you're interested in the deals, but want to read some reviews first go here: http://tinyurl.com/bdpl5n

Here are the specials in a nutshell:

Wine & Food Phest by Phantom Gourmet

If you're a "phan" of Phantom Gourmet, you may want to check out their Wine & Food Phest (May 2nd @ Bayside Expo Center). Granted, it can be on the expensive side ($40 at the event if available... or $30 in advance) - however... for the first 1,000 tickets purchased by March 31st -- it's only $20. That's basically 1/2 off people. So, if you have a little bit of extra cash in your pocket, and want to sample 30 wines and 30 foods... go to www.phantomgourmet.com and buy your tickets now for the $20 deal!

Recession Menu Deals

Everyone is counting their pennies these days. What is one of the first things that people cut out of their spending habits? Going out to eat. It's a luxury - let's face it. We all love it, but when you're dropping $20 at a minimum for meals that you can (sometimes) make at home -- what is the point? I've started inviting friends over for dinner. It's cheap, it's fun, and I get to try out new recipes. That being said, however, I am a foodie at heart. I love going out to eat... but my wallet gets mad at me when I do. Enter Recession Menu Deals. My savior! (And now yours too!) One disclaimer I will say -- I haven't gone to/checked on all of these -- so please call or do some double checking before you go!

If you would like to try another restaurant that's not on this list, before you go you may want to check www.restaurant.com. They have gift certificates you can purchase for less than they're worth, and if you sign up (free) they will email you discount codes! I've gotten $25 gift certificates for $2 (normally $10).

Getting this thing started

Upon the recommendation of a friend, I have decided to start a blog... but it's not for me... it's for you. I love to network, and I am constantly finding deals/events that I pass onto my friends to enjoy, and I personally take advantage of them whenever possible. This blog takes that one step further. Rather than only emailing these findings to my friends, I'm putting them on here for anyone to find and take advantage of the deals!

I live in Boston, so obviously that is going to be where a majority of my random findings derive from. However, if I find something in other areas... I'll put that on here too. Who knows, maybe you'll take a trip and can take advantage of my random finds.

So... there you go... check back and let me know if you have suggestions on how I can make this better!
