Chains Keeping Change In Your Pocket

I'm not going to add these to the long list of local Boston restaurants that are offering recession deals, but I thought I would let you all know about two chain restaurants that are offering some specials right now.

The first is Texas Roadhouse. They are offering an Early Dine for $7.99 special M-Th and you can choose between 10 dinners:

1) 6 oz Serloin Steak

2) 10 oz Roadkill Chopped Steak

4) Country Fried Chicken

5) Chicken Critters Dinner

6) Pulled Pork Dinner

7) Grilled Pork Chop (single)

The second is Applebees. They are offering a 2 for $20 deal. Appetizer, and two entrees for $20. My roommate and I took advantage of this tonight and it was a great deal. Everything is normal sized, not smaller portions to work into the special. The only thing (which is expected for this kind of a promo) there are NO substitutions.
